In the past year and a half, I have found myself time and time again thinking,

“Wow. I wish I could sit in front of Junior year Lauren and tell her everything she is about to do. She would never believe it.”

She would never believe she would graduate high school and not go to college immediately.

She would never believe her parents would agree to her applying for a gap year.

She would never believe she would get accepted into The World Race, let alone actually go.

She would never believe she would live in Africa, Asia, and Central America for 7 months.

She would never believe she would get baptized in South Africa.

She would never believe she would hear the voice of God, daily.

She would never believe a global pandemic would happen, resulting in coming home early.

She would never believe she would apply to alumni team lead and move to Gainesville, GA.

She would never believe she would get the honor to disciple and lead a team of three wonderful women.

She would never believe how much the Lord would grow and stretch her in four short months.

Rereading these statements is mind-blowing to me.

Life with the Lord has been the greatest adventure ever. He deserves every ounce of credit and glory!!

And in His crazy perfect timing, He’s nudged me to my next adventure with Him!

*cue drumroll*

Come January, I will be moving back to Gainesville and doing CGA!

Center for Global Action is a 6-month discipleship and leadership training program run by Adventures in Missions that equips followers of Christ to recreate biblical community through teachings, scripture, and activation. CGA helps set the groundwork for how to lead others in a Godly way in daily life, whether that be in a church, school, or ministry setting!

I  will be living with other World Race Alum as we learn how to lead ourselves and others well. During CGA, I’ll be expected to get a part-time job to apply the things I am taught and walk out, “life is ministry, ministry is life.”

We will learn how to be the Church without walls, amidst a pandemic.

As I prepare to move yet again, I can’t help but think, “I wish Junior year Lauren could see all that the Lord has done in her life.”

But hallelujah you and I get to witness all that the Lord is doing!

I cannot thank you enough for joining me on this crazy journey!

I’ll see you in Gainesville 😉

  1. I’m honored to not only know you but to have had you as my strict team leader. Love you like crazy and am SO ready to see what the Lord has planned for this next season of your life!

  2. I love you Lauren and I love seeing where you are today! I loved our talks and i specifically remember an amazing talk and walk to your carepoint for ministry one day. Long walks thru Africa were times of authenticity growth and deepened love with a sister in Christ. That sister being you. I felt loved by the amount of sharing we did with eachother that day. You are a world changer for the kingdom and I’m happy to know and love on you my sister. My Anba lead you every step of the way!

  3. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.” This is truth about God in our lives! He blesses us with life that we could never even imagine! I am so excited to see how God continues to blow your mind Lauren. I’ve Loved walking with you the past months, and I’m so grateful that God is still walking with you, He’ll never stop.
