I’ve been living in Gainesville, Georgia for over two months living with and leading a team of incredible women that are hungry for more of Jesus. The Lord has given me an incredible opportunity to take what He taught me on my Race, and graciously pour out everything I have to them. It’s an honor to walk alongside them as they learn what it looks like to have intimacy with the Father and live in healthy Christ-centered community.

And so without further ado, I would love to introduce to you Team Rock!

1. Esther Marques, 19, Cumming, GA

Esther Marques is a firecracker for the Lord. After going to college for one year at Kennesaw State, she’s decided to take a gap year and follow what the Lord has called her into: missions. She comes from a huge family (10 siblings) and has a deep appreciation and love for her Brazilian culture and background. This girl is funny, and I mean really funny. She has never met a stranger in her life and is gifted with hospitality. Esther is a giver at heart and represents the Father’s heart in her willingness to give away what she has, materialistically or spiritually. Friends would describe her as bold, strong, real, determined, and intentional. The Lord has given her the gift of words and she uses her gift to spread the Kingdom. I am so honored to be apart of her team and to see her walk more and more in her identity in the Lord. Jesus loves Esther so dang much and shoot, I’m so blessed to know her!!

Fun facts about Esther: her favorite movies are the Parent Trap and White House Down; her favorite song right now is To You by Maverick City Music; and her favorite meal we’ve had here is spaghetti and Texas toast

2. Gracie Brown, 18, Memphis, TN

Sweet, sweet Gracie! Gracie Brown is a j o y to be around. You will most likely hear Gracie’s laugh before you see her. Gracie just graduated high school, yet carries wisdom beyond her years. She is radically obedient to the Lord and seeks out His will daily. Gracie is a remarkable listener; she makes you feel seen, heard, and loved. The Lord has been teaching Gracie how to slow down & be still, all while showing His jealous heart for her. She carries a gentle, yet powerful spirit. Gracie has a tender heart for the nations and unreached people groups. She is going to bring radical change through the Gospel, mark my words. Friends would describe Gracie as fierce, lovable, considerate, joyful, and empathetic. The Lord has been unraveling Gracie’s heart and revealing her passions, dreams, and goals to her while in Gainesville. What a dream it is to be apart of her story and team! The Father loves her so dang much, and shoot! I’m blessed to know and love her.

Fun facts about Gracie: her favorite movies are 13 hours and Bambi 2; her favorite song right now is Psalm 46 (Lord of hosts); and her favorite meal we’ve had here is chicken alfredo and Texas toast (we love Texas toast over here)

3. Gabby Gansle, 19, Alpharetta, GA

Gabby Gansle! A woman after the Lord’s heart! Gabby just graduated high school and instead of going to college immediately, she decided to take a leap of faith and do the Race. And I am so grateful the Lord has brought her here. It is evident she is exactly where God wants her. Gabby has a nurturing heart that seeks out the overlooked and unheard. If empathy had legs, it’d be Gabby. Her heart is resilient and adaptable. At her core, she is loyal and courageous. Within the past two months, the Lord has been teaching Gabby how to process emotions and walk more freely in His love and patience. She’s praising Jesus for never leaving or abandoning us! Friends would describe Gabby as passionate, comforting, trustworthy, and FUN! It’s been an honor to simply sit with Gabby and be her friend in this season. What an honor it is to be let into her heart and see the transformation the Lord is doing.  Jesus loves Gabby so intentionally and dang, I’m so glad I know her.

Fun facts about Gabby: her favorite movies are Trolls and Mamma Mia, her favorite song right now is Adonai by Chris Renzema; and her favorite meal we’ve had here is gumbo

4. Regan Horn, 25, the Southeast

Regan Horn is my fearless Squad Leader and co-leader of Team Rock! Regan did the World Race 11n11 in 2018 and has radically been transformed by the Holy Spirit. Her testimony is going to change so many lives. She has the incredible role of helping to disciple this entire squad (around 25 18-20 year olds) and it is one of the biggest privileges to know her and learn from her wisdom and leadership. Regan is extremely motivated and zealous about the Gospel and pouring into this generation. She is stable and safe to anyone who crosses her path. She is gifted with creating spaces of vulnerability and authenticity, and it’s beautiful to see the Lord’s presence fill those spaces. Regan is a strong leader and fights for her people hard. Regan has been learning how to ask, “how can I glorify God in this?” instead of “why is this happening?” Friends would describe Regan as selfless, driven, constant, and transparent. Regan has been one of the biggest blessings this season in leadership. Everyday, she walks deeper and deeper in her identity in Christ and it is a joy to lead alongside her.

Fun facts about Regan: her favorite movies are Zero Dark Thirty and The Wedding Planner; her favorite song right now is I’ll give Thanks by Housefires; and her favorite meal we’ve had here is biscuits and gravy

And that’s TEAM ROCK! Team Rock embodies strength and grit. We are built on solid foundation that is Truth. Each of these women carry a different, yet imperative, aspect and characteristic of the Lord’s strength, and together we are durable. The Lord is constantly referred to as a “Rock” in the Bible, and what a sweet Truth to hold onto in a time and season of so much uncertainty. This team is rooted in Jesus and running to the Father with everything we have!

  1. AND LASTLY WE HAVE LAUREN KOBE! She is a woman of goofiness but walks in the fear of the Lord so well. She is a plumb line for the world of unbelievers walking them into truth and showing them back to truth. She thinks before she speaks and always speaks to see people. She walks the line of compassion and conviction with elegance. Other people would describe her as: Genuine, efervescent, steadfast. man do you want to know her!!

  2. Beautiful, beautiful reasons….. thank you so much for sharing this! What a wonderful team of awesome women!
